Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Neon Coast Guide ("we," "us") collects when you visit neoncoast-guide.pages.dev (the "Site"), how we use it and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to improve the Site, and we do not sell it.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider and the services described below may automatically collect technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to operate and secure the Site, to understand how it is used and to show advertising.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site itself does not set its own cookies. The cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons and local storage) you may receive while visiting come from third parties, mainly Google's advertising services, which use them to serve, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, as described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features of the Site may not work as intended if you do.

Advertising, including Google AdSense

We use or may use Google AdSense and other third-party advertising partners to show ads on the Site.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • To learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

If we work with other ad networks, they may also use cookies and similar technologies under their own privacy policies.

Analytics

We do not currently run a separate analytics service, such as Google Analytics, on the Site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the Site and may give us aggregate traffic statistics. Google AdSense gives us aggregate reports about ad performance. If we add an analytics service, we will update this policy before we do.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain and secure the Site
  • To understand which articles are useful and improve them
  • To show advertising that keeps the Site free
  • To respond to messages you send us
  • To comply with legal obligations

Sharing of information

We do not sell the information you send us by email. Information collected automatically through cookies may be processed by our hosting and advertising partners as described above. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, the use of advertising cookies to show personalized ads may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or "targeted advertising."

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to access or delete it, to correct it and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising. You can:

  • use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link that Google displays on the Site to visitors from U.S. states where this right applies,
  • opt out of personalized Google ads through Ads Settings,
  • block or delete third-party cookies in your browser settings,
  • email us at contact@example.com to make a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland are shown a consent message from Google, a consent management platform certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, before cookies are used for personalized advertising. You can consent, decline or manage your options, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Privacy and cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep emails only as long as needed to respond and for our records.
