Editorial Policy
Our readers make real decisions based on what they read here. They need information they can rely on. This page explains how we produce our articles.
Who writes our articles
Articles are published by the Neon Coast Guide Editorial Team. We cover a deliberately narrow area, Grand Theft Auto VI news, characters, the map and verified facts, so that we can follow the research and the rules in this area closely.
Our sources, in order of preference
- Primary sources: Rockstar Games' own newswire and game pages, Take-Two Interactive's investor releases and filings, the PlayStation and Xbox stores and the ESRB.
- Official data: government statistics and published research.
- Established publishers: studies and reports from recognized organizations. When we cite a price, an average or a statistic, we name the publisher and the date of the data, because figures change and different publishers use different methods.
- Company information: companies' own published descriptions of their products, used for features rather than for claims about price or quality.
Each article lists its sources at the end so you can check them yourself.
Fact-checking
Before publication, every rule, figure and claim in an article is checked against the sources listed with it. When sources conflict or are unclear, we say so in the article instead of guessing.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. AI does not decide what we publish. Every article is reviewed and checked against its listed sources before it goes live, and we are responsible for everything we publish.
Updates
Each article shows the date it was last checked. We review our articles regularly and update them when rules, prices or published data change. Minor edits, such as fixing a typo, may not change the date.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Readers can report errors through our contact page. When a correction changes the meaning of an article, we update it and its "last updated" date.
Independence
Our content is not written or approved by advertisers. Advertising does not determine which topics we cover or what our articles say. If we ever include partner links, they will be clearly disclosed. See how we make money.
Limits of our articles
Our articles explain general information. They cannot account for every detail of your situation and are not purchasing, financial or legal advice; see our disclaimer.
